Couples Night Out
This year, Bethany’s spiritual growth committee started of a new endeavor entitled “couple’s night out”. Familes participated in a Christian education opportunity to explore a variety of topics (communication, team work, and money management) to strengthen their marriage. Nursery care for little ones and supervised activities for school aged-kids was provided. The idea is not for several couples to go out in a group but for each couple to spend some quality time together with a helpful focus. Approximately two hours later each couple arrives back at the church to pick up their children and head home.
Wednesday Night Live
Each
Wednesday evening, when school is in session, we offer a tasty
home-cooked meal for one and all for the suggested donation for $3.00 each. You can even see the
meals in
advance.
Desserts are prepared by volunteers. We have been serving nearly 100 people of
all ages each week - some from Bethany, some from St. Charles, and some
from elsewhere is the community. There are opportunities for
children to join a singing or bell choir and their rehearsals are either
just before or just after dinner. Mary's Place is available
for children who do not choose to be part of a musical group and the
adult study groups meet right after supper.
Advent Family Night
This year we had another successful evening of pot luck, puppets, a visit from Saint Nick, crafts, frosting cookies for the shut-ins, taking photos on Marv the donkey and enjoying the fellowship. Check out the event here.
